Some of my favourite scenes from old American films (like Grease & Pretty in Pink) are the Homecoming Dances, or Proms. I love the streamers and balloons, the dresses, the punch bowls and of course the music and dancing. When modern films recreate these sort of scenes, they often turn to nostalgic sounding music and that is exactly what I’ve done to create this playlist.
