Manchester in a Day & All the Recommendations

Joined by my lovely friend Helen, Thursday saw us embark on a festive day out to the wonderful city of Manchester. I had briefly visited earlier in the year for work, but was desperate to come back and explore and was so happy that our chance fell just before Christmas! Yay for the festivities! We had no particular plans, so with a few gathered recommendations we wandered the streets eating, drinking, shopping and visiting. Along the way I (of course) had camera in hand and today I thought I’d share Manchester through my eyes and also some of the top places we visited (& a few we didn’t but I hear they’re great) so you can enjoy them too!

For vintage clothing | Blue Rinse (below) | Pop Vintage | Cow Vintage | Oxfam Originals | Oldham Street Vintage Kilo

For foodies | Fig & Sparrow | Chapter One Books (below) | Franco Manca | The Christmas Market

For all the shopping | Magma | Fred Aldous (contains photobooths) | Afflecks | Art Gallery Shop (below) | Ace & Tate | Uniqlo | Piccadilly Records

Fancy being a culture vulture | Manchester Art Gallery | People’s History Museum | The National Football Museum | Alan Turing Memorial

Favourite area | The Northern Quarter

Have you ever been to Manchester and have any recommendations? I can’t wait to return in 2020 to explore it some more, but for now I will just look back on these photos and remember the perfect day!
