Every year thousands of people, professional to amateur, send their artwork into the Royal Academy in the hope of being chosen to be part of the most prestigious open art exhibition – The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. This is one of my favourite events of the summer and a must-visit for anyone with an interest in art, or actually just anyone – it is so much fun.
