I don’t think that I have ever loved any patterned trousers as much as I love this checked pair that I picked up in H&M last week. This may be because they were a bargain, because I have been looking for a pair just like these for what seems like forever or maybe the novelty of them being new just hasn’t worn off yet… who knows? Regardless these are a pair of trousers that I know I will love for a long time and here’s why…
Unlike most patterned trousers these ones are so easy to style and this is due to the fact they are predominantly grey. Grey is one of those babes of a colour that just goes with everything, love it! If you are new to the funky trousers scene and a bit worried about how you are going to make them work your best bet is to go for some that are mainly black, grey or white and that way they will go with a lot more things in your wardrobe.
I decided to pair my trousers with a lightweight ‘pink beige’ knit, also from H&M, because I just just love how these colours work together. It is great to have a stash of lighter layers when you live in England because they work as great transitional pieces in the Spring when it isn’t quite warm enough to head out without something to keep you just that bit warmer.
I like to be matchy-matchy so I decided to team this outfit with my ‘Vapour Pink’ adidas Gazelle trainers. These trainers make me feel like I am living in the 90s and I love the spring vibe that their pastel colour brings to any outfit.
