Over the last few years vinyl has been making a comeback and I for one am loving it. In recent weeks I have been almost religiously listening to, and loving, Fleetwood Mac’s infamous ‘Rumours‘ album, after discovering it about forty years too late. Today I just really wanted to share it with you all in hope that you may find that you love it too.
In the past I didn’t get this album, it just didn’t click with me. I really didn’t understand what all the hype was about and was left confused when people I knew raved about it. However, recently something changed all of that. Prepare to cringe (or relate) as I reveal that that thing was Glee.
Love it, or hate it, after watching the cast of Glee perform some of the classics from the ‘Rumours‘ album, in an episode of the same name, I really began to understand why this album has always been so popular. It is pure genius, born out of strong emotions in a band trying hard not to fall apart and actually jam packed full of relatable songs.
My favourite songs to sing along to are ‘I Don’t Want to Know‘ and ‘Songbird‘, although to be honest I truly love almost every song on the album and love getting the record player out to put it on. Yes, I have it on Spotify, but I think there is something really special about playing your favourite music on vinyl. It is definitely a different, more nostalgic sound. If you haven’t tried it, give it a go. I can guarantee you won’t regret it.
