Let’s Chill Out: Relaxing Playlist

After struggling to understand the concept of ‘me time’ for many years, I feel like I have finally realised why it is so important. As much as it can seem selfish taking time for yourself it can, and will, actually make your life a happier one. Everyone has different ways of relaxing, for some reading is the perfect escape, for others a relaxing soak in the bath will do the trick, for me music is the one. I have always loved music and so creating a playlist (see below) to help me chill out seemed logical. I have taken a long time perfecting it and, in my eyes, it is now the perfect playlist to help me wind down after a long days work. I love it and I hope you will too.

One of my favourite things to do is discover new music, I am constantly on the look out for things that are a bit different and that really click with me, Lana’s ‘Wonderful‘ is a perfect example of this. I think one of the reasons I find this playlist so calming is because it is such a mixture of songs, from ones that I have loved for a long time like ‘Oxford Street‘ by Everything But The Girl, to ones that I have only recently discovered, like ‘Always‘ by Panic! At The Disco. It is relaxing and interesting and that is so important to me when I am trying to unwind.

I hope this playlist has introduced you to some great new songs and artists to wind down to, or maybe allowed you to rediscover some that you had forgotten. This may not be the playlist for you but hopefully it will inspire you to create your very own chill out playlist, after all music is a very personal thing.
