On New Year’s Day I spent several hours looking for a small but beautiful calendar to put on my wall. I didn’t want a huge one that would take up buckets of space and I wanted something a little bit different. I ended my internet search without success and to console myself started browsing the Rookie website in hope of gaining a bit of inspiration. As always Rookie delivered the goods and I was soon collaging my own calendar with the intention of sharing it just as they do theirs. Sharing the first few months of my new calendar is, therefore, exactly what I find myself doing today.
One way I organise myself is to make sure I am keeping track of what is going on and when, not only in my own life but in my friends and families lives too, that way it is 1000 times easier to plan spending time together. I find the best way to keep track of everything is to use a monthly calendar, for the main events, alongside a weekly calendar which I fill in at the start of every week to outline the fine details of what is going on.
I made my monthly calendar by collaging pieces of magazines and then overlaying a hand drawn title and day grid. It is a relief for me to (finally!) have my January calendar up & I can’t wait to start filling it in.

I hope that, over the course of the year, you will be able to use these downloadable calendars to make your lives more organised and therefore get more out of your 2017. I hope 2017 treats you all well and I hope to be posting on this blog every Saturday this year, so stay tuned for more fun!
